How to Restore Old Strip Eyelashes.

I know you have them collected in the bottom of your makeup box and if your anything like me their stashed in the bathroom cabinet. scaring everyone who encounters them..
..BIG.. Scary..

TARANTULAS!

Lol.. No I'm talking about EYELASHES. Strip eyelashes to be exact. They frame the eyes lovely and gives any droopy eyes the "I'm awake look". They come in many different styles to cater to anyones personal taste. They're fairly easy to apply, with practice and can take any look to the next level.
Most women usually get about 2 to 4 wears out of their strip lashes before they either have mascara making them clumpy, lash glue build up, eyeshadow fallout, or are bent out of shape from sleeping in them. When you spend a little more for them like the ones you buy in Ricky's or Sephora (that cost anywhere from $5 to 20$) you might not want to trash them as quickly as the ones you do that are a little less costly and if your a cost conscious shopper like myself then you naturally want a few more wears out of your lashes for your money.
So this is my solution to clumpy raggedy lashes.

Grab your clumpy old lashes like these and lets get started.

You will also Need:

-70% Alcohol
-a small lid or cap
-1 sheet of tissue
-A brow brush/comb
-any eyeliner
-a blow dryer
* a small drop of any type of hair gel
(I forgot to put it in the pic)

And clumpy old lashes like these:

First thing you want to do is fill your lid or cap with the alcohol and soak your eyelashes for about 5 minutes. Doing this allows the alcohol to breakdown all the glue and mascara that have collect of your lashes over time. It is also killing any bacteria and germs that may be present on the lashes.

After the 5 minutes hold your lashes by the hairs with the band facing up in one hand and and with the other gently pull off the glue with your finger or tweezers. Use the brow comb to comb out some of the glue it should be soft and tacky making it easier to remove. If it is not coming off easily soak it in the alcohol a little longer. Make sure you hold it firmly by the hair when pulling off the glue, if not your will pull the hairs from the strip.
Dip your lashes back in the alcohol to remove any remaining mascara and glue.

Next wrap your lashes around any old eyeliner you have and use the brow brush and a dab of hair gel to brush through the lashes and straighten out the flares to their original shape. Make sure the lashes are laying flat down against the eyeliner pencil.

Grab your sheet of tissue fold it in half and wrap it around the eyeliner pencil with the eyelash on it. Now using your blow dryer on the warm low setting blow dry the eyelash through the tissue for about 30 seconds or until it is dry. Repeat for the other eyelash.

Lastly find any lash tray and place your newly restored lashes on them so the band can shape properly. They wont be as perfect as they were when your first purchased them but you'll be able to get a couple more wears out of them.
